There are about 220 islands in Cyclades, and less than 30 islands are inhabited. Each island has its own identity and charisma. The island of Delos near Mykonos, is one of the most important historical, mythological and archaeological sites in Greece.

The Cyclades Central Islands are so well connected. Paros Island is undoubtedly the best island hopping base in the whole Aegean. Naxos is the largest of The Cyclades. The Cyclades East

The Cyclades Central port of Naxos (or Paros) is the best base port with good ferry links to The Cyclades East . With tour boats and ferry connections visiting The Small Cyclades Islands (Donoussa, Iraklia, Koufonissi and Schinoussa) Amorgos Island with ferry links daily in the summer, less frequent in the winter.
The Cyclades North
Andros - Delos - Mykonos - Syros - Tinos
Mykonos Island is the base port well placed for Island hopping visiting adjacent islands, combined with daily day trips to Delos Island (one of the most important archaeokogical site in Greece). Mykonos lifestyle and dynamic nightlife has made the island to one of the most popular Islands in Greece.
Andros Island the most northern of The Cyclades Islands. Tinos Island alledegly the spiritual centre of modern Greece. Syros the administrative, commercial and culture center of The Cyclades. One of the gratest bouzouki player and composer Markos Vamvakaris was born here.
The Cyclades West
Folegandros - Kea - Kimolos -Kythnos - Milos - Serifos - Sifnos - Sikinos
Eight Islands in the Cyclades West, however the absence of day trip boats (Milos - Kimolos have day service) and limited ferry connections makes it difficult to name a base port in the Cyclades West. The best of them all will be Sifnos Island, Unless you are successful to pick up an evening ferry return you can end up having to stay overnight when visiting adjacent islands.
Folegandros the photogenic Chora (the capital) is built on the edge of a large rock (200m above the sea). The volcanic Milos one of the most dramatic scenery of The Cyclades, white villages, amazing and colourful rock formation, great beaches, hot springs. Main port Adamas. A popular resort Apollonia has daily ferry link to Kimolos Island, a small and unknown (tourists).
