Around Paros Island
I believe Paros island suits anyone, any age group and offers a good mixture of Greek hospitality, charming inland and costal villages and smallish towns. Excellent and varied accommodation, international atmosphere, good nightlife, great selection of tavernas, bars, retaurants. Interesting ancient monuments monasteries and churches and some spectacular sandy beaches.
This is Paros Island, the third largest of the Cyclades Islands. Here is my favourite places around Paros.
Lefkes Village
Lefke attractive villages is the island’s highest village just under 300m above sealevel. Lefkes is situated in the central part of Paros, approximately 11km south east of Parikia.
Whitewashed houses, narrow streets, (several steps and narrow downhill alleys), tavernas, boutiques and cafes. Continue, firstly down the hill side and then slightly up towards Agia Triada square. Here the impressive main church Agia Triada made of fine light marble is worth a visit, (nice bar-cafe opposite the church on the square).

Local colourful fishing boats side by side with larger yatchs and other leisure boats, tour boats to Naxos and other Cyclades islands, various short beach excursions and daily cruises with Captain Yiannis from the port. Paros Cats
You will see many cats on the Greek Islands.
Greek culture embraced cats as the free spirits they are, allowing them to roam the streets and lounge near the ancient ruins, quaint tavernas, or basking in the sun on the island beaches.
