Granada at the foothills of Sierra Nevada

Granada is a lovely city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra.

Alhambra

This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.

It is not possible to improve on any historical knowledge and facts about Alhambra than the excellent present information available within books, guide books, web sites and so on.

So, my best advice to you, visit the Alhambra and discover the remarkable palace and gardens for yourself.
