Periana Romeria 20th & 21st May 2019
the walk (20th May) started from Plaza de La Fuente in the center of the town, around 09:00 - 10:00 in the morning.
A joyful mixed crowd, young and old, male or female many dressed in attractive colourful traditional costumes. Riders on beautiful horses, decorated tractors, carriages and all behind the ox-driven cart carrying San Isidro During our enjoyable walk, the happy atmosphere was strengthened by Camino de Olivares song and music.

Well out of town the hilly countryside presented itself at the very best with a vibrant scenery surrounding our walk.
The traditional and very welcomed break for "snacks" and beverage, songs and flamenco dance along the roadside is always remembered as one of the many highlights of the day.
