Malaga tapas tour

We had sufficient time to accomplish our tapas run and it was certainly not a race or any kind of food or beverage competition,

it was, to put it bluntly, a social and most enjoyable evening out with some good friends, searching for some tasty tapas and drinks.

Two out of the three tapas bars we visited were great, offering excellent value for money with a good atmosphere and a tasteful and varied selection of tapas.

No visit to the bars made since The Tapas Tour Malaga October 2018.

La Taberna del Pintxo

Very pleasant to sit outside watching the world go by. The service was good and attentive and they offered a good and varied selection of pre-prepared tapas as the kitchen does not open until 19:30 / 20:00 hours in the evening.

Cortijo de Pepe

Established early 1970"‘s this is one of our favourite bars but due to it's popularity, it gets very crowded and there is standing room only when all the bar seats are taken. Good traditional and varied tapas always on offer. Cortijo de Pepe is also a very good restaurant.

Taperia La Tertulia

This was our first visit and quite frankly, a little disappointing. We found the tapas very acceptable but the drinks were very expensive and rather spoilt our visit there.

Bodega El Pimpi

Unfortunately we did not have enough time to visit it this time around, however most of us have visited El Pimpi several times before.

Founded in 1971, the Pimpi is one of the wine cellars with most solera in Málaga, where it is possible to enjoy local gastronomy and local wines, but mostly, the tradition and culture belonging to southern Spain.

Its name makes reference to the figure of “Pimpi”, a popular character from Málaga who helped crew and passengers of boats that arrived at the Málaga port.

Currently, the wine cellar is a famous meeting point for the famous, both Malagueños and visitors, who recommend us and value our cultural entity and gastronomy of top order in Málaga.

Thank you!

Organised by The Foreign Department of Periana Town Hall and ¨open¨ to anyone of any nationality or age.

This event was made even more enjoyable as we were picked up and taken back to Periana by the excellent coach service that was provided by Periana Autocares.
